The lead guitarist in my band has the explosion. It's incredible! It feels like an absolute dream to play, stays in tune for aaaaages and sounds great too, especially pinch harmonics.

The one thing I would say is that this is a massive guitar and looks really weird on people less than 6 feet tall tongue.gif . Oh and the finish on the explosion looks a little pixelated up close.

Great guitar though.

I don't know why but I don't find V's very special to me. I'd get a Razorback if I were you.

But that's just me. Go get one bro!

Most of the graphics on Deans look pixelated up close. Same way with their V inferno.

The Razorbacks and V's are awesome metal guitars but you have to be the type of guy who looks good with it otherwise you'll look like a moron. Like it was said less than 6 feet and you look like a kid playing on the guitar of his older brother.
The tremolo is very good, and it has got a fast and good accessable neck too. Though it has a giant headstock the guitar is not to heavy on the neck which is always a problem of V-style guitars. It is you choice if you want one with standard scale,22 frets and a dimebucker or the new 225scale with 24 frets and active emg pickups.

Organized, you sound like a prime candidate for a King V.

I'm 6'-6" and the DV8-R that's become my mainstay is about 45" long.

I would also submit to you that if you do get a Dean razorback V, get the V255 because it's longer, making more of the higher frets more accessible to you.

Seriously, since picking up the King V I had a revelation that I don't think most players who aren't bordering "giant" status can have that all other guitars simply do not fit. Playing one is like putting on a shoe that fits after making due with shoes about 1 size too small. Yeah, they get the job done and you can wear em around, but they're not comfortable to wear and you look silly with them on.
