Thanks man, it means a lot. I learned to play funk with time. try some of the Ross Bolton lessons if you can find them , they are awesome. Sure I was interested in "some" metal, like Metallica and other when I was younger, but not too much. I am really not so much into shredding and stuff. I love to play jazz and fusion too. I will post some jazz lessons soon. Been playing around 9 years now.
Thanks again, I really apprecitate it. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

I have to agree, I am amazed at your knowledge of the Blues, and even the styles of B.B., Albert, and the rest.
And I'm glad you like jazz.. I am craving a hollowbody guitar for that sound. And fusion... that's what kept me seeking new music in my early 20's, when most people's musical taste starts to lock down on their "favorites from school." Stanley Clarke, Al di Meola, even Brazilian stuff like Flora Purim and Airto. Most people stopped liking Joni Mitchell when she moved into her jazz phase... I thought she was just hitting her stride, playing with Jaco Pastorius and Wayne Shorter.. I could go on and on. Bottom line, glad to have an instructor like you with wide ranging taste and great abilities to teach. -------------------- "I dreamed a lot when I was younger.. I'm older now but still I hunger For some understanding. There's no understanding, now. Was there ever? ...Joe Puerta (Ambrosia)... Finally got a YouTube page going. |

Thanks man, I'm glad you like that stuff too. Around 70% of my winamp lists are blues and jazz tunes, I simply enjoy listening that.
