I really want to be involved especially now I can record music smile.gif

I am really into my grunge music like

Alice In Chains
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Mudhoney
Soundgarden
Mother Love Bone
Smashing Pumpkins
Stone Temple Pilots

I propose doing the song Dam That River by Alice In Chains as a starting song. Anyone interested?

Hey Jakub. Great to see another member willing to join my grunge band. We can take it in turns to do Rhythm and Lead but for this song I will take lead if that's ok?

We need other members but if you can sing then we could record this one ourselves as I can play bass and guitar and have both available to use. I can also play keys as well but not important for this song smile.gif Maybe recording a song will get people interested? Can you do drum tracks or not?

What do you think we should call the band?

Oh and I can sing a little also but I'm not the best.

Cool. Are you alright with recording songs? Are you used to mixing songs? Doesn't matter if you aren't. If it's ok with Jakub then I think we'll be fine with just the 3 of us working on songs. We'll swap around parts a bit. For this first track I'll step aside and do the bass and if jammer91 does the rhythm and Jakub does the lead. Who is best at programming drums? Jakub wishes to sing also so he can do that.

Also any ideas for a band name?

Okay:) Btw. in that singing - would it be enough, to have just one vocie(I hope it will...)? Cause I dont want to sing that multi-voice parts:-D Its kinda tough, to nail the harmonies etc. without notes:-D

Yes, I am familiar with recording.. and with mixing too.. I have Cubase SX3.

About me.. I can send you a recording of my band, so you will know, how my voice does sound - I want to sand it anyway, for criticisms from GMC'ers:)

About our name... I want something Grungy sounding:-D Something dirty, BadA22 yet.. old school sounding:-D We can simply be called Dirt:-D or Dirt shirt:-D just brainstorming:-D

Maybe I will add harmonies or try? Will be worth trying. You do Layne's main vocal line and I will try and do Jerry Cantrell's vocal line.

How about "Dragged Through the Dirt" for the name? Using your Dirt idea?

About singing.. sure:)

Btw. we will play in original (DROP C#), or in DROP D?

6 = C#
5 = G#
4 = C#
3 = F#
2 = A#
1 = D#

That alright?

Do you like Dragged Through The Dirt then or you reckon we can do better?

Also backing drums should be at about 128 beats per minute. That is what the original is at.

DTTD sounds good to me:-P Also, I accept both the tuning and speed;) I now can play the main riff, first lead guitar part (its a few notes..) and a few segments of solo.. I guess, that I will nail it tomorrow by the evening.. so I can start recording leads soon.

Btw. Do you have guitar pro? we can use it later, for our own creation, if needed.. I can also try to make a kind of sig for our band in photoshop wink.gif

Yep I have guitar pro so that makes things easier. I'm going to record bass for this one and jammer91 if he is still up for it can play rhythm. Can you make the drum track Jakub and then send to me and I will get bass recorded and then you and jammer91 can get guitars done smile.gif

I will let Smells know our band name and a band sig would be awesome. You're a lot more useful than me lol biggrin.gif
