Hi anyone heard of a sax player called Jan Garbarek? I haven't heard any songs of him yet but i will. Guess what i have discovered, im related to him! Serious, first i thought he was married into my family but my grandma sad that he was-(what is it the thing after a cousin you know where you have a brother/sister cousin and something after that)- to my father, i got so excited to have a famous jazz artists blood runnin' through my vains^^ anywho i think i need to sit down and listen to some stuff from him, I'd really like to meet him sometime and maybe who knows he can help me learning the sax tongue.gif The sad thing is that he doesen't now of our family he didn't even knew dad:/(God bless his soul and R.I.P)
EDIT: I'd really love some comments if you know about this guy, recomendations for records to buy etc...

I heard about him, i used to work at a danish jazz label, and i remember selling and seing he's name occasionally..

I know he played with Keith Jarret,
