I have a question about this

http://www.kvraudio.com/get/252.html

Is it worth it? i mean its almost $400, Anyone have experience with it? Know the features, functionality of it, how easy it is and all that?

Or does anyone know of a cheaper program, maybe under $350. I really want one of these programs to use, This seems like a great one, but im a beginner with this, so im thinking it might be to "Daunting" for me.

Not worth it in my opinion -

You get a lot of stuff but I didn't find the samples to be especially high quality when I tried it out.

At the cheap end of the market, Garritan Personal Orchestra is worth a look, oh, and for Solo instruments, their Stradivari Violin and Gofriller Cello are nothing short of amazing!

Edit: I know you weren't looking looking for just a Cello & Violin, but here is a clip of Gofriller Cello and Stradivari Violin together since I love them so much smile.gif

GPO looks good, will have to listen to those samples soon, and its cheaper, and the Stradivari Violin looks very interesting.

EDIT

GPO Sounded great, it was great quality!

Ahh the viloin/cello link doesn't work for me

Wow these sound great Andrew!

Does GPO Give you the option to arrange indivudal instruments like the violin and cello?

Those Stradivari Violin and cello ones sound great!!

Yes - the Stradivari and Gofriller are high quality individual instruments, each they cost around the same as the whole of Personal Orchestra. Personal Orchestra has a lot more instruments but is intended more for orchestrak arrangements, so you would have various types of string ensembles, individual violins, Cellos, Bras, Wind instruments etc.

There are solo instruments, but not as good as Gofriller or Stradivari, but they work well enough in larger arrangements.

If you are stuck between GPO and Stradivari, its simple - if you want an expressive solo instrument go for Stradivari, if you want to put together an entire string section use GPO smile.gif

Nice VST, packed, but bad built in reverb, and poor samples. Try before you buy.

It's VST,same as Edirol. smile.gif

This Platinum Edition is too expensive indeed but check out Gold and Silver as well,
good for buck imo.

Yes, East West stuff is usually pretty good - more expensive than GPO but better so I have heard.
