I know there are many out there. What order would you put them in terms of your favourites?

1. Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX) - Absolutely Amazing
2. Final Fantasy VII (PSX)
3. Final Fantasy VI (SNES)
4. Final Fantasy V (SNES)
5. Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
6. Final Fantasy IV (SNES)
7. Final Fantasy I (NES)
8. Final Fantasy X (PS2)
9. Final Fantasy II (NES)
10. Final Fantasy IX (PSX)
11. Final Fantasy VIII (PSX) - Absolute Arse

My list. I haven't played XI.

I love the series and is the only game series I make sure I complete entirely when it comes out. Plus the music kicks arse. smile.gif

this is indeed impossible

FF7
FF9
FF Tactics
FF 10
FF 8
FF 12
FF The one with cecil and kain (just so theres no confusion between the japanese release and american, cuz i dont know what they are

the one with Locke and Terra

and then 10-2
and then

thats pretty much my list, I think 12 was a reat game, but I just havent played it enough to really get into it so thats why I didnt put it higher

FF 7 is THE BEST Game ever, honestly. It's the Hamlet of video games

1. T
2. VIII
3. III/VI
4. VII
5. IV
6. V
7. I
8. IX
9. X
10. XII

8 had the best story by miles and wasn't a happy ending. The characters developed much moreso IMO than they did in any other system. The Aeon system and draw system really let you customize your characters how you saw fit, which I really liked. IX was trash, I wasn't a fan of the style it was carried out in, and just seemed kind of blah. Never bothered replaying it. VII was ok, takes about 14 hours to get going though. Tactics is hands down the best. The combat is FUN, the job system is great. XII's story was tough for me to get into. It got too tedious, but my disdain for J-RPGs is creeping up on me.

Xenogears pwns any FF though.

I actually didnt like the way they developed the characters in 8, one hting that really annoyed me was the deal with Irvine not being able to make that shot on Edea, i feel like they didnt develope him at all before that.

and I am a fan of xenosaga as well, but I only got into that series 2 years ago. And it is pretty awesome but i dont really like episode 2 that much

Xenogears is worlds better than Xenosaga. I was not too impressed with Xenosaga so I didn't bother playing any of them after that.

How was the ending not happy, you did watch after the credits where the show everyone at a party right, happy and hanging out, celebrating.

Or did you mean you weren't happy with the ending?

it was my understanding that that was an "old" video and that Squall was indeed forgotten by his crew and consigned to the nothing. At least that's the way I've always bothered to remember it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmDt-EbFslo

Check it out again, It can't be an old video, there is no party in Balamb Garden when Irvine Joins the party, the only one is in Fisher's Horizon, which that video is clearly not. And if you draw this from it, Squall isnt forgotten because he is with Rinoa at the end. My conclusion is that this is a celebration party for the success of defeating Ultimecia.

Thats how it all hit me every time i play it.

Agreed. Xenogears was/is INCREDIBLE. Top 10 all time game for me.

Otherwise, I'm gonna have to go something like:

FF3/6
ff7
ff5 (cecil)
ff1
ff2
ff9
ff8

and I didn't like 10 so I haven't yet played any of the games since. I don't have a playstation anymore either.

You really need to get your hands on FF7 and FFT for the original Playstation.
