Someone knows something about 18?

And about 8 too... I still don't know why it's that answer...

Wow this is great biggrin.gif

^ 8 isn't hard. This red-pinkish thing is the answer: (Copy it to Notepad to read it. Notepad will copy only the symbols, not the fontsize and fontcolor changes i've made.)
Looks kinda stupid but now only those who want to see the answer will see it :]

You just have to find the way the first four numbers change the result. How to solve:
2222 = 0 => It doesn't matter that we have a "2" in our 2581;
5555 = 0 => The same for the "5";
7111 = 0 => The "1" also doesn't have any "value";

Now we just have to find the "value" for "8".

5531 = 0 => "3" also doesn't have a "value";
9312 = 1 => "3","1" and "2" don't have values(beacause of the previous conclusions) and from this we know that "9" has the value of 1.

8809 = 6 => from "0000 = 4" we know that every "0" has a value of 1, and from the previous conclusion we know that "9" is equal to 1 too. So when whe subtract them from the equation we have left:
88 = 4 => "8" = 2.

In 2581 we have only the "8" has value(2) and this means that 2581 = 2.

HAhahh wow didn't know I've thought of so many things while searching for the answer biggrin.gif

Okay, is #20 actually asking what it says it asks, or is it solveable without outside knowledge? Because it seems to me there are many ways of measuring a mountains height, disputes, etc. So basically is it a logic problem or a knowledge problem? If it's logic I'll keep thinking about it but if not what is the answer?

It tells us everest is the tallest mountain in the world. It's telling you this as a fact. If someone hadnt discovered the mountain, do you think that it makes everest non-existant as the tallest mountain? No, because even though its not been discovered, its still there. tongue.gif

No, it doesnt, same principle once you get to a particular stage though.

It says on the page with the 'code' or 'jibberish' page -1, so try going back a letter on each letter of the code to reveal the mystery.
