Photography! Buy yourself maybe a $100 camera to start with and have at it, it can be very fun and creative. Soon enough though you'll want a better camera and then an slr and all kinds of photo editing software and then new lens and then an adjustable flash then before you know it you'll have spent almost as much on camera stuff as you have on guitars unsure.gif

Well not quite laugh.gif But its a lot of fun tongue.gif

Dude, I see I'm leaving my passion and entering one of yours and another of mine. I see your in Ontario, lots of good placse from what I hear to ride a dirt bike. If you have never been on one , I suggest it as a past time. If you have kids, they will love it. I have a 3 and 6 year old who is strongly pushing me not to stop riding but its become a hassel with the drive. I still love to ride ,but I think I love to play more tongue.gif I started a thread on other things to do. Maybe between the two you can find something to try!

Steve

I can totally recommened Photography!!! You can do it indoors or even better outside in the open. You get to take in the beauty of the world and feel part of nature. Its suitably technical (if you want to be) and you are being creative.

I feel it really compliments my studys as a guitarist because both activies are artistic wink.gif

Well i love going hiking or walking.

In Wales we have some beautiful countryside and hills, some friends and i spent the day just walking across it sometimes for maybe 6-8 hours....there's some real beauty in the world that needs to be appreciated by somebody- you'll feel better if you're that person wink.gif

Also with the Air Cadets that i'm part of i went to Nijmegen, Holland for the summer of 2006 and also 2007 to do the annual 100 mile/160 km march. Though they cancelled the march after the first day when 3 people died in 2006 (heat exhaustion) i went back out in 2007 and completed it. Man what a feeling of accomlishment. So for those 2 years road walking/marching has been a bit of a hobby- we trained twice a month in our really hilly Welsh countryside to toughen us up- to go to Holland where the land is really really flat laugh.gif

I do plenty of other things with the Air Cadets such as gliding, flying, shooting, telling people off etc...

Ofcourse you can do all these things without joining an organisation, but just some ideas wink.gif

Also- theres things like martial arts, canoeing/kayaking, mountain climbing, skydiving (i hope to go later this year rolleyes.gif ), loads of extreme sports out there ofcourse...

...i hear stamp collecting is popular too tongue.gif

But seriously, i think that life is for living, and the more variety we get than the less we will regret things when we look back at our lives (especially at the age of 70+ when our options aren't so various)

Good Luck finding that hobby(s) tongue.gif
