Good topic Nemanja
Here's what I figured out from my experience. There's ISN'T such a thing like ideal mix cause each speakers (Hi-Fi etc) have different range and color so you can't expect to hear everything the same on every setup. But you must be able to hear everything "correct" while you're mixing. Some monitors just don't have flat image, they either cut some frequencies or boost it too much. Also it's sort of habit, you get familiar with you monitoring system, you know if it cuts or boosts something. Nice deal is to have few setups as well, one with woofers and extra highs(kinda in disco clubs), another midrange and something like home PC speakers,to compare it well. Finally,it comes to your pocket -------------------- Youtube

Great topic. Muris said it all up there and he's right IMHO.
I would like to buy a similar set like your's Dejan. Few M-Audio models caught my eye in a store recently... So can you tell us about some details about them. How does the bass range sounds, and how does the "boost" function works? Thanks! -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Yep, Muris said it - you need a clinical and analytical pair of monitors so you can hear the elements in your mix - this lets you come up with a compromise that works in many places. Then you check your mix on different speakers to see how they work on an Ipod , in a stereo system , in a car as they all flatter the sound in different ways.
I have a pair of mission 700s at the moment - they are actually hifi speaker not monitors so they probably flatter the sound in various ways, When I have the cash I will be buying a set of Adam A7s -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
