I was thinking of the abundance of Lessons that are requested and thought of this idea. A topic dedicated to having all the lesson ideas for instructors in one topic-that way Gmc stays a little bit more organized biggrin.gif

And possibly the lesson with the most requests gets picked and is then done by one of the instructors smile.gif

So post your ideas and lets see what happens smile.gif

Doh! Wish I would have seen this thread a second ago, my bad guys. Well my lesson request is for a percussion type sound achieved through hitting the guitar just above the sound hole, yet still keeping a beat, and somehow tying that in with the songs. Check out Josh Verdes - "Home" if you want to know what I'm talking about, but I'm sure there are more songs out there that have this effect, particularly anyone that wants to try and play a rap song on the guitar!

Having problems with video's loading? Check your software. I have a program called zonealarm that was making video's either not load at all or load slowly. It took me a little while to figure this out, so if you've got any kind of software that monitors your incoming data from the internet, allow GMC to send data or disable the program :)

Although not metal/rock i'd like to see a lesson on reggae/upbeat styles to find out the type of techniques needed.

I would like to see some Symphony X lessons. Love that band.

Actually, if you can't find what is necessary here for you to become an excellent guitarist, you just have not got it. Only complaint I have is that sometimes on lessons teachers don't capture the correct rhythm on the slowed version. And especially on the lessons about some specific artist, that is critical. But of course, one can work around that. No big deal.

edit: or in a few cases, the slowed version is no slow enough to make it easy to capture the rhythm. on some artists, it is really critical, and not easy to hit the exact rhythm, that is characteristic of them. however again, you can work around it.

Oh, and if they showed fingerings on tab, that would be nice.

But all in all, hope Kris is getting rich, he deserves it.

Ummm, perhaps I'm confused, but I thought that you extremely disliked Symphony X? huh.gif

Anyways, we do need a Symphony X and Pantera lesson...and Marty Friedman of course.
