Are there any scales in Drop D tuning? Ive recently tuned my guitar to drop D to play Unholy confessions and click click boom.. I love the sound of drop D tuning, but i was wondering if there were any scales i could mess with in drop D?

the scales are the same no matter what tuning, the patterns or boxes is what changes. To play a major scale in Drop D you would need to play the note that resides on the 6th string of the major scale 1 whole step up (because you are in drop D)

As fretdancer said, it's all the same no matter what tuning. Same with chords. Edit: haha well not all the same, the positions just get mixed around a little bit.

This is a very awesome website http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/guitar/index_rb.html

You can find chords and scales in any tuning.

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...guitar1-drop-d/

In this example the instructor uses D dorian, some cool riffs in there.

Check out the scale chart on the first page...
