I use loop functino on my DD20 all the time. It has 23 seconds of loop time, and that is enough for some basic functions, but it is VERY usefull for jamming. For practice - not so much, I mainly use the good ol' metronome.

I was curious of how many of you use a loopstation?

I'v used it in life preformances. Playing Synth that is ... Just imagine to have lots of ekstra Pads at hand while you play/jam live. Even pre-recorded vocal. I once recorded gregorian munks singing live and replayed from the loopstation over a Synth pad while playing a Preformnce keyboard (Roland XP-30) ... No Laptops on stage just the Boss ... cool.gif

Now a day I got the RC-50 on my wish list.
As the RC-50 has been improved over the RC-20XL in the following areas:

RC-50
Maximum Recording Time approx. 49min. (monaural)
Stereo: YES
Maximum number of phrases (simultaneous playback) 3 (stereo or monaural)
Maximum number of phrases (onboard storage) 297
(Rhythm) Guide patterns 379
Number of built-in pedals 7
Number of external pedals that can be connected 4 foot switches (function selectable)
Expression pedal support: YES (function selectable)
USB - import/export .wav files: YES
Sub Out: YES
MIDI IN/OUT: YES
Realtime control of playback speed: YES
MIDI Tempo Sync: YES

--------------------

Guitar: Ibanez RG370DXCE my backup is a Fender Strat.
Amps: Marshall MG and Line6 Spider III 75W combo (preferred)

Recording stuff: Cubase SX3, Logic emagic, Novation ReMote SL, M-Audio Pro
Synth experiance: Roland, MoTu, Native Instrument, Spectrasonics and Steinberg
Main VST's: Kontakt2, FM8, Bass station, Ezdrummer, MoTu EI, Atmosphere, Crystall

Instead of starting a new threa I thought I'd might continue the discussion here.
I'm thinking abou buying a loop station. And trying to figure out which on to get.

The ones I'm looking at are both Boss pedals. The RC-2 or the RC-20XL?
The RC 20XL is bit more expensiva but seems nice and a bit easier to operate. Would it be worth the extra money? How are the drum patterns? etc.
Opinions, tips and comments please!

=S I'd love too have such pedal, but I also want a new amp Dx
But I only got 45 euros dry.gif

Does the sample time of 16 minutes mean that you can record 16 min and then let it loop or that your loop will stop after 16 min blink.gif ?

Mark.
