Kris's stuff, and Pavel's sweeps. I came here in the first place trying to figure out what this mysterious thing called sweeping was.

Kris really does AP quite well. He has a very sharp attack on his runs, I would say he excels in that over any other teacher here. Don't ignore his lessons, a lot to learn from Kris. I am starting to go back to some of them.

edit: not just AP. Take his Taps. He is very good not just at the taps, but the rhythm and accent of the taps. And his talking was quite useful, little things you would pick up from what he said. I wish teachers did more of that, like he did in his lessons, just talked more. Some do sometimes, but Kris gave a lot of narrative, and I found that very useful.

He also seemed to have a sense for understanding what would be confusing to a student. I realize we hae some fine players here teaching, but Kris has some serious teaching talent, and that is a rare thing.

Indeed.

This thread just gave me some new lessons to learn! The first lessons I realy learned, so not just looked at, tried and skipped (the so called lesson hopping:P) was the Frusciante lesson from Gabriel. It sounds good, I like RHCP a lot and it's a very easy part! Now I still have some problems with lesson hopping.. I can play a lot of parts from lessons.. sometimes just one part is a bit to difficult. Check out the heavy ballad lesson from Vasquez. The first slow part goes very well, but then the fast part comes... I also did Heavy Metal for Beginners 3 inthe begining. A big tip for everyone, chekc the scales out and learn one or two with al positions then just get your ass in a collab! My first realy was horrible, but I learned a lot from it. Now I did a second and it's a lot better!

Quite an easy one to remember since I only joined in November last year.

The first lesson I practiced (and still doing so) is Ivan's Funky Riffs. Its a tricky one to master. dry.gif
