One of these two maybe:
AD30VT or AD30vt-XL I think the XL is geared more toward metal and hard rock, while retaining clean sounds and stuff. I haven't tried it, only the ad30vt. There's a review of it in the gear section. -------------------- Gear: Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Gibson '67 RI Flying V, Mesa Boogie F-30 112 combo, crazy pedals.

I would recommend an audio interface, if you wanna amp get some Randall, or Peavye, you can find cheaper solid state ones with 12" speaker.

Hope you're a City fan since United failed a bit again.
I'd go for a Laney if I were you. LV 65W has a preamp valve. Or the LX, solid state at 65 W. -------------------- My bands homepage

Welcome to the site Chris. I was rite where your at a little more than 3mo ago (albeit no prior experience other than goofing around 20 years ago). I bought a solid state Marshall. Don't get me wrong, alot of bang for the money but if I had to start over, I would definitely by some sort of interface. As A beginner I'm certainly not planning a gig anytime soon. With the interface, you can experience alot of different amp combonations as well as a multitude of effects. This well help you make a more educated decision when buying an amp down the road.
Good example: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...mp;#entry135324 Scroll down and listen to Smells take. He plays through a (Pod XT I think ) and it sounds awsome. You can pick one up for around 300-350 US new. Definitely my next investment, and I've got a half stack with onboard effects. Good luck on your jouney and I'm sure I'll see you around the forum! Well I lost the bid and the guy had a high reserve and the amp didn't sell anyway.
Anyway I'm leaning more towards an interface now after all the strong reccomendations. I think I'll just go ahead and sell my Xbox 360 so I can afford a Pod XT haha. This video on youtube REALLY makes me want a Pod XT now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHczaI8t7-4...feature=related -------------------- i did this to myself the summer air burning in my lungs one more glance till i come undone let's stop this rising sun |

Look into toneport if you are going to play beside computer (on its speakers) It acts like a external soundcard and you plug speakers in it

I have an XT Live and recommend it. I play through phones mostly, but hooking up to the CPU isn't a problem either. Plus, when/if I do want to play live, I'm going to pick up one of these jobs. You can get just about anything you want out of them.

I think that the Toneport UX1 is the better solution than that Vox, especially if you have good PC speakers set. But, if you wanna amp sound and no interface, than the vox is the way to go.
