Hello everyone I just signed up a few days ago and im already learning sum pretty cool stuff.

Anyway, I just started to play guitar in December, although i've wanted to play since i was about eight but it turned out to be one of those things i put off (until i was turned 19) sad.gif and i decieded that 07 was the year i started to play guitar and i couldnt be happier.

Looking forward to learning alot and just having fun.

Welcome to GMC! This place is great and your going to love it. See you around. smile.gif

--------------------
"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

Welcome fellow Canadian

I know how you feel. I put off guitar for a long time, then I started making excuses for not playing until one day I just said "To hell with it" and got a guitar

anyway have fun, this is a great site
the videos are nice, but I think the real strength of this site is the forum, the people on it are very encouraging and helpful

peace
