Where's Groover Washington? You've placed Michael Jackson and not Groover? Come on that's unfair! smile.gif

Come on, no Kool and the Gang?

I'd pick up Kool and the Gang - The Very Best of for tracks like hi de hi, hi de ho; jungle boogie, of course celebration, fresh, get down on it, etc.

Also check out some red hot chili peppers, a lot of their stuff is very funk based.

Hey Joe, what about making this a sticky like the other recommendations lists in the bands&artists forum? We're missing a funk one smile.gif And in addition to RHCP and kool and the gang, I'd also like to add Talking Heads smile.gif biggrin.gif I love funk smile.gif
