Basically, the exact moment it covers the "thicker part" of the ring. Hard to explain, took me awhile to get it down, once you do though, its easier.

EDIT

Well the first disc was 11:32 for me, the second is well past the 10 hour mark, but im taking a lot of time (i think) to try and get everything.

You have issues with graphics glitching somewhat (esp. random encounter "loading" screens) and after cut scenes sometimes it locks up on a black screen and I have to reload it (annoying).

Does skilling up your immortals get harder? Because w/ Jansen so far (hardly scratched the surface of the game), both Seth and Kaim have all of his skills and skills from rings so far. Oh, and I'm trying to find a good use for Seth since she doesn't hit nearly as hard and take damage as well as Kaim. Jansen floors everybody with his spells. Only forseeable benefit of Seth is that she can interrupt casters to allow the other players to get hits in before spells get cast. She's no better at stealing than Kaim or Jansen...

There are rumors of a ver few defects that got out, Game has run great of me

As for leveling the immortals, yes it does get harder, Cause eventually you will get a total of nine party members, and keeping the immortals up to date with it gets confusing and hard to keep track of. Im told that on the fourth disc, you have (like in most RPG's) some time to rome around, which is when i plan to do most of my leveling for the immortals, and getting there skills up.

PS
Never seel your enhancements or accesories, keep them in case you miss any skills you need to get for the achievements "Master Kaims Skills" and all the immortals and so forth, Comes in handy wink.gif

I saw the commercial for this and immediately thought "Final Fantasy". Unfortunately, I've been too lazy to work up the money for the game, so I won't get to play it any time soon.

Waiting on The Last Remnant though, looks good.

This game freezes at like every other loading screen for me and it makes me angry. After screwing around in numara for a solid half hour the game locked up. I'm hoping the game gets it out of it's system on disc 1 because I don't know if I can handle this all the way through the game. Also I played while half buzzed yesterday and skipped through 3 memories because my attention span just wasn't there.

It's not quite as bad as I made it sound, but the freezing is kind of a pain. It's frozen on me 3 times but it's when it goes to a black loading screen, sometimes it will freeze.

I'm almost to the end of disc 1.

Yeah, but it crashed at the end of the funeral sequence at the end of disc 1. That's like an hour of cutscenes and 3 BS mini games I have to go through again. Yeah, I know I can skip the cutscenes, but it's a pain to even have to, ya know?

ME doesn't require a special "save" point, you should be saving constantly! Esp since so many choices have widespread effects.

Im seriously considering buying this game, but i have a few questions. what is the random encounters system like? are the encounters often? how unique is the combat system or is it just the generic turn based system? also, once you complete the game, how much replay value is there?

Thanks in advance!

The random encounter system is EXACTLY like any Final Fantasy game with random encounters. FF7, F8, FF9, FF10, Whatever. They arent too often, but they are often enough to keep you entertained.

As for the battle system, it is the good ol turn based, but when you use your physical attacks, you can equip rings that allow you to do specific types of damage (i.e. fire, wind, earth, mechanical, poison), and you can switch between these in battle without losing a turn. And when you attack, an 'Aim" ring appear around the target, as you hold down the RT Button, another ring starts to get closer to the first, getting smaller, and when they overlap, you let go, and you can get either "bad", "good", or "perfect". Perfect increases damage and raises your chance for a critical hit.

One more thing, the fight system has two rows, Front and back. Characters in the front row will be your physical attackers (highest health, and highest physical damage), and there combined health makes up something called the "Guard Condition" (GC). If the GC is at maximum, the damage to the back row, where your spell casters, healers, and party members with lower health will be, will be reduced, and if its lower, it will be increased.

This same thing applies to enemies, so you got a bunch of smaller enemies in the front and the 'boss' in the back row. You weaken the front row by lowering there health, and then when there GC is low, you attack the boss. Of course there are other ways to do this, but this is the just the gist of it.

Sorry, but theres one more question, i have a standard definition TV, but alot of 360 games are optimized for hi-def, so the text in the game appears very small, and is almost unreadable. i dont know what kind of TV you have, but if you have a standard tv, does this game have that problem?
Thanks!
