Well, i have not beaten it yet, but i must say this is already one of the best RPG's off all time, its in the vein of classic Final Fantasy games, and story written by Hironobu Sakaguchi, its amazing, great battle system, brilliant story, seriously, within the first hour of the game, it had already inspired me to write a song, "Hanna's Departure", which is already in the lyrics board, i suggest all RPG fans check this out!!

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

Ok, I'm now making it official, And in my opinion, This is not only the greatest RPG ever made, Its the greatest game ever made, by far, and my miles. This is the only game that actually made me cry when a sorrowful moment happened, and the voice acting is the best any game has ever had, and it really supports this.

Best.

Game.

Ever.

BIG words my friend, sounds interesting. It's a shame it's only for 360 and not for PC...?

Well I'm actually, right after this message, going to look for a job, so maybe even I may afford a 360 someday... I know I would really like to. smile.gif

Tried to pick this up yesterday (traded in GH2 and GH3) but they were sold out, brought home DMC4 instead, which is pretty fun. I still have enough credit to snag Lost Odyssey when it does show up.

Try someplace like Best Buy or circuit city, When i went to my local gamestop, all three stores within 10 miles, were sold out, however, the closest best buy had plenty smile.gif

I bought the game when it came out over here in early December (English language option FTW!) and i agree that it blew me away.

This is the first RPG i've played in a long while that actually drew me into the story and made me care about the characters. The musical score is fantastic and the production values are sky high. I'd recommend this anyone who likes themselves an RPG.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the best game ever (forgive me Uncreator tongue.gif ) as i feel the story of the game does lose a bit of it's luster as you hit the 4th disc in the sense that it becomes very standard Japanese RPG fare rather than continuing the more original threads of the first 3 discs.

That said, it's still a fantastic game and easily the best next-gen RPG around. You must play it and you will enjoy it!

Yeah the music is great, and agree with you about caring about the characters.

Plus, when Nobuo Uematsu composes the music for a game, its only for the best cool.gif

If I can convince best buy to take gamespot store credit then I'll be sure to do that tongue.gif

I'm at a jobsite in a suburb of Atlanta now that will likely have it, I'll check there before I head back to the big city tongue.gif

picked it up at my lunch break. Both guys in the store swore up and down at how good the game is. They told me to get everything I needed to do that day done before sitting down to play it.

Got through the first little segment of the game and got all the dreams in Uhra (I saw how cool the first one was and decided I'd cheat to make sure I got them all just because of how melancholy they were).

Life sure is rough for old Kaim, "Dozens of wifes and scores of children". Good grief. The story about the innkeepers daughter really moved me. The story about the soldier returning home to his family after war was sad too. So far, so good. The intro battle was pretty cool.

Yeah, Hanna's Departure was really sad, I actually wrote a song about it.

It's supposedly about 10h a disc, so probably around the 40h mark.

Uncreator, I have a hard time getting "perfect" in the ring system, because I can't figure out which line I'm supposed to get it to line up with. Which one is it? Plus it like disappears in the cluster of the "inner ring" and you can't tell where it is. Tips?
