I mean do you "steal" emotions from the time of the year...or time of day...
for me, winter or gray cloudy day makes me sad so in 99% I compose sad love ballads...or it just efect my lyrics...
summer off couse bring faster bits and happy melodeis....
...You?

Weather affects my playing/composing in general - if it's a bad weather than i can't play even a simple major scale biggrin.gif For example, today is a great weather here, and i've been practicing the whole day and also came up with a new lesson for GMC and a bunch of other cool licks to add to my library.

So, weather has a huge influence on me smile.gif

The weather has no influence on me blink.gif
( Maby it is because I don't compose things, so that it can't influence me anyways )
But I don't like playing when it's cold cause then I need to warm up longer tongue.gif

Like Pavel, the weather is a big factor in my playing. This time of year when its cool I play and practice MUCH harder than in the summer! When it is hot I really struggle, but when its bright but cold like today I play long and hard wink.gif

To quote Brett's song; I like it when it rains, I dont care if its Sunny, rainy or windy but I like the atmosphere of a rainy day. smile.gif

I think stress affects my playing more though, I tend not to play when I'm particularily under pressure or worrying about something sad.gif

Weather doesn't influence me a lot. It's only my personal mood, that influences me and I just like playing more when it's evening or when it's dark outside, I don't know why, but it is like it is wink.gif

You're right there! Professional composers don't rely only on inspiration but also on skills while to me inspiration is a huge factor.

Yeah, it's the winter here in the US. Where I live there is a large variation in temperature. In the summer it can go from 90 F to 0 F in the winter. The winter sucks, I think it makes me depressed or something because I don't feel like playing guitar at all. I'll play for maybe a an hour daily - I generally practice 4 times that!

It seems like the proverbial sh*t hit's the fan in the winter. College sucks, lost my girl, been sucking at guitar, I'm sick, friends turn to enemies - always in the winter.

Ermmm grey skies are depressing

Sorry for the expletives and the rant.

It effects a bit I guess. smile.gif
But I've found that colors near around me effect it even more,
color of the wall, color of the T-Shirt I'm wearing,
and of course weather or time of the year with theirs colors. wink.gif

Pretty much whenever I always write in minor keys about death, misery and suffering. We have no happy songs. Even our love song isn't happy biggrin.gif

The weather affects me too, but not in a way that I write happy melodies in the summer or sad in the winter. It is more like terrible weather, bad playing. But who knows, weather is complicated, not all conditions can be generalized like this.

One thing for sure - I like Sunny weather more than anything else! smile.gif
