When Ronaldo missed and everyone else scored I wanted them to lose as I can't stand Ronaldo but I wanted Man United to win otherwise as I hate Chelsea nearly as much as Ronaldo.

Congrats Man United anyway. Close to my home town so would always be my favs over any London team. Not a patch on Middlesbrough though smile.gif

I really hate that stop start Ronaldo does when he takes a penalty. Should be clamped down on by refs. Hargreaves without a doubt took the best penalty. Learnt that in Germany he did.

Sorry to bring up an old topic - just had to state my love for Tottenham Hotspur. I'm on my 10th year as a fan of Spurs smile.gif

Okay, I'm gonna be an optimistic fool and say:

1. Manchester United
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. Tottenham
5. Liverpool
6. Everton
7. Manchester City
8. Portsmouth

17. West Bromwich
18. Fulham
19. Stoke
20. Hull

I extended the list a little.

I'm a Boro fan and really hope for a top half finish this season. Some new youthful players and I think we have a great chance of better success smile.gif

Yeah, Boro is one of those teams I don't mind seeing anywhere in the table.

As a Tottenham fan though, I have several clubs I wouldn't mind to see relegated wink.gif

My top 5:

Utd
Chelski
Arsenal
L'pool
Everton

Bottom 3:

Baggies
Stoke
Hull

As an Everton fan I do however have hopes that we can again break in to the 4 again - especially as L'Pool seem to be cash poor in the transfer market this season smile.gif.

Sadly I think there's a bit of a gulf between top Championship League teams and the bottom end Premier so I tend to see those promoted as heading back down unless they get to spend lots and wisely on transfers. As yet none of them really have.

Spurs - top half for sure but even with your transfers in I can't see you in the top 4. I do however think you'll be fighting us for 5th - along with Pompey and Villa. Where Spurs ends up though could depend on you keeping Keane...

Boro - top half above the Barcodes and Sunderland. (Personally I'd like NUFC to go down wink.gif ). Blackburn could struggle if their ambitions only run to signing Fowler rolleyes.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

You guys have your top 5 all wrong! tongue.gif

We're gonna have a killer squad next year.

Gomes in goal, Modric as a playmaker, Giovani Dos Santos tearing open those defences, Gareth Bale doing the crossing, King getting fitter than ever (read: he's been training along with the team in pre-season, which is unusual...), and if we can keep hold of Keane and Berbatov, despite the rumors, and bring in a few more players... my, oh, my.

Soccer is a stupid term Americans feel the need to call the proper game.

It isn't a couple of fairies prancing around with a ball.

You'll still be the most inconsistent team in the league. Like you always are.

SSSHHHH!! I see Spurs fans getting less and less optimistic though. Usually everyone is like: "this is the year, this is the year we break into the top 4"...seems times are changing a bit, though not too much for me. I'll keep the positive and optimistic spirit going. With Ramos on board we'll do it!

Sure, realistically we're not going to break into top 4 this year, but I have my fingers crossed anyway.

I have been going for Arsenal since I was 6 or 7 years old, and I have 3 home suits and 2 away shirts tongue.gif
Since I started playing guitar, there hasn't been much football-playing or watching though wink.gif

I must admit that Tottenham is my one and all - above guitar playing and even my girlfriend tongue.gif Yes, and she knows that too.

Man the bitching that's going on at the moment between clubs is pathetic. Chelsea should just be banned from buying players. Ronaldo should leave the ungrateful little boy. If Berbatov has any aspirations he should move to Man Utd. I've heard reports of spurs fans slagging off Keane because he may be leaving. They should be shot.

Then everything will be sorted.
