Really sorry for Everton. They worked and played well today and didn't deserve to go out on penalties.

Thanks Duncan sad.gif . We played really well last night after a poor first leg and maybe on balance deserved the win - I'm trying to be objective about the overall performance wink.gif . So it's a sort of victory in defeat. I also think that the team and Moyes showed passion during the game and grace in defeat. Oh well at least now we can concentrate on securing 4th spot.

For any Fiorentina fans- good luck for the rest of the competition.

Cheers,
Tony

ps OT - one of my friends who mods an Everton forum is v busy at the moment dealing with a LOT of LFC 'fans' trying to wind us Everton fans up rolleyes.gif .

We were robbed of a victory against Aston Villa because of a stupid penalty decision sad.gif But 1 point is better than none away to Villa.

Still not a bad draw. Arsenal and Liverpool seem to do well in Europe so it could be a good game. Plus if Chelsea win their tie, they'll go on to play Arsenal/Liverpool.

Manchester United have got it tough though. Roma have just knocked out Real, and will still be bitter after losing 7-1 last year.

Who do you reckon then Duncan to win each tie?

I reckon

1 Liverpool
2 Man Utd
3 FC Barcelona
4 Chelsea

Then Liverpool and Barcelona in the final

This makes interesting reading - note the time of the OP blink.gif . Someone, on a different forum, has worked out the odds for guessing the draw correctly as about 1 in 133 so not impossible to guess just unlikely, nonetheless the Liverpool Echo (local Liverpool newspaper) is investigating and it's reported in the online edition of the Daily Mirror. and Liverpool Daily Post.

Warning btw - the forum link above contains some bad language.

Personally I'd love for Barcelona to win it now.

Cheers,
Tony

I'd like to think that too. Would be great for them to win it 50 years on from Munich, but I can't see them beating Barca.

Any bets on how many goals Man United are going to put past Derby today? I'm going for 4.

I'll take a 1-1 draw biggrin.gif Could have held on for the win but it certainly is a better result for us than it is for them. smile.gif

Who do you want to win the League?

Two points picked up from 2 Away games is so important for us and all we need to do next is beat Derby at home and we'll be so much safer smile.gif

I'd like to see Manchester United win it. They had a poor start to the season but have come back so well. Even when Arsenal were 5 points clear they kept at it. Also the youngsters are Man Utd have performed so well I think they deserve a trophy.
