i start off playing extremely slow warming up, i had some small pains before but i seem to have got rid of it now.
warm up extremely slowly for a good 5 minutes at least before you play, i first start off with a john petruci chromatic execise remember - really really painfull slow then i go onto this satriani warm up chord thing (starts at 00:33) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-H72ECeZBs...feature=related ( do it a bit slower than he does though) then i do the petrucci exercise again but slowly increase speed until i feel comforatble enough. Dont freak out too bad- with the right amount of rest and good warmig up my hand problem went away- remember that if it continues you should see a doctor 5-10 minutes f warming up may seem alot but its very important to get the blood going etc , just think that you may be putting your hand out of action if you dont. Take care, and report back with any news about your hand- hope it recovers soon. |

Guess I've been pretty damn lucky since I don't do any serious warming-up.
Try resting few more days and then do warming up all the time. And if still hurts then consult a doctor,it'd be wise. -------------------- Youtube

Okay, so I have this weird pain in my fretting hand. It's between my ring and middlefinger, and basically it hurts when I'm fretting with the ring finger. So if I fret with the ring finger at some hard place or with a big stretch, this weird pain wave hits between my middle and ring finger, it's like something stings me there and I have to stop playing and shake it or massage it or what ever.... And I'm kinda freaking out because it won't go away, I even took a three days break of playing and hoped that it would heal, but no Maybe it's beacuse I'm not warmin up enough or something, but one thing is for sure, I'm going nuts... Any advice will be appreciated -T There's your problem Here's your solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL-QD0kZqA8 -------------------- |

I would stop playing or diminish the exercises for a couple of days to prevent serious damage.

That's great man. Remember don't push too far because of your recent pains. THey can come back pretty quickly. Just take it easy, and practice as much as you can. I'm glad everything is OK now!
