Hi everybody,

I just wanted to know if it's possible for me to record something on my pc using the Pod XT USB connection to my PC? Is it also possible to play with the POD through the PC's own 5.1 system when connected to the PC?

Thanks!

Yes, it's possible (both questions)
I can't tell you how to do it on a PC though, because I only know about Macs unsure.gif

But I'm sure someone on this forum will be kind and let us know smile.gif

Is the sound actually better when recorded on PC? I use a Power PC (Mac), so your answer would be cool marcus! smile.gif

i seldom use my pod but for your 2nd question, yes you can play the pod's output in your 5.1 system, it would be stereo at it's best though (w/c is the staple format of most recorded music). just remember when you connect your pod to your pc, the pod acts as your soundcard (you may have to alter your cabling from your pod's outputs to your 5.1 system). there are other ways to do it like connecting your pod's output to your soundcard's input (line-in) although i would prefer connecting your speakers to the pod.

on your last question regarding which one is better, it should be the same if you're using the same recording software (using the same algorithm/program to record those digital signals coming from the usb of the pod). hope this helps.
