I'd love to have a Mesa.

I really like the amp I have now though.

But being obsessed with awesome gear I'd like to get this soon.

Fender Blues Deluxe. For my Strat. The Marshall has amazing cleans though too.

I think Petrucci's rig would be a great choice, since you almost get every possible sound there is from that rig! biggrin.gif

I just ordered the Mesa Mark IV on the bottom right of your picture. :-)

Good for you, man! That is an excellent choice in my opinion. The Mark iv can do it all. John Petrucci recorded all his guitar stuff for Systematic Chaos with one. And, alot of 'who's who' studio players swear by them, (as opposed to swearing at them!). You're in for a world of great tones.

Can somebody please tell me how to use this stupid computer? I don't know how to post pictures. I tried...can't. I want to show you my dream rig(s)!

Frank try this:

1) make sure you have the pic saved on your pc.
2) On the Reply page click on the 'Browse' (bottom RHS below the text box) . That will bring up a new window where you can then point to the pic file you want to attach.
3) find it and double click it - the address will appear in the browse field.
4) Click the green 'Upload' button.
5) Click the down arrow on the 'Manage Current Attachments - you should see the name of the file and three little icons.
6) Hover your mouse over the little icon with the green + sign - - you should see a 'insert attachment into text editor' message. Click the icon and in your text page you should see the name of the attachment appear.

If you want to check what it looks like before posting click the 'Preview Post' button at the very bottom of the screen.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tony

ps enjoy the ice cream - I used that for my run through wink.gif

Tony, thank you for taking the time to help. That was very kind of you! I'm printing off the instructions right now. I'll have to try this later, as the phone is ringing...by the way, I've tried one of those Ice Cream Cone amps...they wail! Thanks again, my friend.

Frank

I spelled my username wrong...I didn't even think that was possible!

Look at the topic for my guitar...
Finished Guitar Build

Gear:
Homemade strat (You still need to look at its topic!)
Squier strat (probably going to get rid of it and get another guitar instead) :)
Line 6 spider amp (not actually used for anything, just acts as a speaker)
Digitech Gnx2 (kind of old, but cheap, and sounds amazing!)

Metasonix's G-1000 amp (no picture b/c it can be a little offensive but here's the page for it...I've posted it before). 23 tubes (no 12ax7s'), 15 watts, $5000 and just all kinds of wrong sound-wise.

I have a think for messed up sounds. I don't get anything done when I fire up Reason because I spend too much time trying to get it to make the most awful sounds I can. Kurt Cobain and Trent Reznor are guitar heroes to me not because of their technique but because of the sounds they come up with.

I would also like to know enough about the technology to be able to design and build my own amp. biggrin.gif

Warning - link contains language that some may find offensive - Tony

No problem. Sometimes I wish they'd tone it down a bit, but it seems like that's how Metasonix is.

They have a lot of rotten sounding pedals too which are also wonderful and also expensive ($300+).

Here's my dream rig. Road King, Lonestar, Soloist, and Horizon... The trans green Soloist has been a dream of mine for a few years. I will change the hardware to gold to add to the elegance of it. Of course, I could add a few more items, like a VHT head, a JVM head, and of course, a 4x12 with Vintage 30s. I'm still saving up...Thanks to TonyMiro for helping me with this.

You've got yourself a good amp, man. Perhaps, the best Marshall ever made, according to some. JVMs can do it all! Excellent footswitch that comes with them, also...

Mesa is still beautyful but too expensive blink.gif

I´ve ordered this one by my lokal dealer. Next week it should arrive and will be ready for testing.

I think I will love it after testing on my framus diablo custom.

greetings from germany,

Nils
