ok, i have a gig tonight and im wondering where i can put the drums/amps for the best onstage and offstage sound.

its a small room
the noice levels have to be kept fairly low so no mic's on the drum kit.
we have 2 guitar amps, 1 bass amp, a drum kit and a small PA system to set up but the placement is boggeling me for the best sound.

the stage area has a low cieling and is raised up from the main area.
the main area has a normal high ceiling.

it is really small and its going to be crowded with amps/gear on the stage.

has anyone got any handy tips that would make the sound better onstage and off in this situation?

drums in middle, guitar amp either side and bass amp next to the rhythm guitarists amp. mics placed infront of the amps that are for vocalists.

Well I suggest this : drums at the middle , left goes one guitar amp raised on something - we use this thing (http://www.opal-grupa.com/gajba1.gif) it holds bottles of beer..To the right of drums goes bass amp (on ground if its solid like concrete - if it makes floor rumble and vibrate too much raise it like guitar amps) , next to it goes another guitar amp same deal as with the previous one..Put the PA system on the edge of the stage (front edge left and right corner) and have mics behind it..That should do the job..Remember to make a nice sound on stage sound (dynamic) , don't overload equipment and put everything on max smile.gif

You don't get feedback from mics that are in front of the PA system ? smile.gif
