The ZR is technically a "Liscensed" FR trim w/ Ball bearings rather than blades, but that begs the question, if I were to plunk down $40 for a D Tuna, would it fit?

Anyone tried this on their Ibanez?

I want to put one on my Ibanez S470DXQM.

EVH D Tuna

Any advice or experience is appreciated. Thanks!

i don't see why it shouldn't work if the only difference is the ball bearings.

It requires swapping out the string stopper screw, which it looks like ti comes with 2, one presumably would fit OFR trems, the other would fit an LFR trem.

maybe you already know this, but the dtuna can only be used on guitars with a floyd rose flat against the body, rather than floating.

I dont think it will work...they (ibanez) makes a part called a downshifter that fits the zr trem. you can find it on ibanezrules.com...however they have been on backorder for months.

The zr is a different creature. you wont need to block it to use a downshifter. There is a piece that holds it in tune even if you break a string. Going drop d doesnt release as much pressure as beaking a string. It should work swimmingly <8).
Peace,
Patrick.

Any other sources for ordering a downshifter? Ibanezrules.com does seem like it would take forever. On a quick google search I found nothing sad.gif
