Just a quick introduction before I start nagging you all with questions about guitar and music theory.

I'm Canadian, living and working in Brussels, Belgium for the moment, trapped inside a boring international institution. I've been playing guitar for approximately 12 years now, with some regrettable gaps in between. I can play fairly well, but not as well as I'd like--but who can I suppose? I returned to the instrument with a renewed passion several months ago, and have only been growing in enthusiasm ever since. After years of just puttering around on the guitar aimlessly (though not without some important benefits, mind you), I'm now prepared to sit down and put in the work necessary to become the musician that I want to be. To this end, from my cursory glance around the community, I'd say I'm in very good company here.

Cheers,
Michael

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"
