It sounds very good Nick. I have Guitar Rig 2 and It doesn't sound as good as this newer version.

glad you liked the sound - i just realised its not guitar rig i use...its called Guitar Amp Pro -I do have the hendrix guitar rig too.. but the distortion is too limited so i prefer guitar amp pro, sorry for the confusion!
nick

I agree with Muris and Nick, Guitar Rig is not a real amp, so for an album production I would also choose my amps (even though I already used my Pod and also Guitar Rig for some parts on an album), but to me it is definitely better than a pod. I am using it with Pro Tools, so I am connecting my guitar to the M-box, which is connected to my pc via usb. What I love about guitar rig is the simplicity, just use drag and drop to set up your virtual rack, couldn't be more easy. Another bonus in contrast to my old Pod XT is the fact that with guitar rig I can use several amps at the same time, so you could for example mix a modern amp like a Rectifier with a more vintage style Marshall. And compared to Guitar Rig 2 the new version is MUCH better, back then I tried version 2 and didn't like it at all.
