I don't care about genres, I care about GOOD SONGS.

If a song is GOOD, it'll always be a good song, however you play it or arrange it.

If a song is CRAP, it'll always be a crappy song, however you play it or arrange it.

That's just my own opinion, of course.

Eddie

most "Metal" related music aside from metalcore, nu-metal, hair metal, and other dead genres.

Jazz Fusion
Blues
Free Jazz
Avant-Gard Jazz
Grunge
hip hop
Video Game Soundtracks/Classical Midi's
Instrumental Rock/Shred

hmm I think that's it for the most part.

PROGRESSIVE METAL
Death Metal (Nile only.)
Thrash Metal
Black Metal
Power Metal (a little bit)
Middle-Eastern
Latin-American
Asian (I don't know what you call it)
Macedonian (thx to Ivan)
Other folk genres
Jazz Fusion (just a little bit)
Shred
Flamenco
Acoustic (Andy McKee style)

Can't hardly listen to anything else because it bores me to death (Classical, Jazz, Blues, Country, Punk, Rap, RnB, etc.) Also classic rock, rock, rock n' roll in general also seem extremely boring to me, and so repetitive, same thing everytime, it seems. And if it has the word "core" in it, I hate it.

I like Children of Bodom. I mean the only kind of straight-up no kidding death metal I like is Nile, where is Children of Bodom has the keyboards and vocals that I can halfway understand, so it isn't quite what I considered to be straight "death metal." Black Dahlia Murder is pretty good too, I can understand why people like them. But the biggest reasons I like Nile is the Middle Eastern influences, which is one of my favorite genres, without that, I wouldn't even like them.

Yeah, I do see what you mean. I figured you might like CoB because of the semi-black metal vocals.
