Hi all,
I just got my Toneport GX in the mail today and decided to post a recording of me playing half of Knockin' on Heaven's Door by GNR in the hopes that I could get some advice on what to improve on? I done the backing track but it's a bit off time i think. Also...i don't know why the last note sounds trilly . Every time i recorded this part, the same thing happened. Any advice to stop me doing this would be great. Any feedback, harsh or not is welcomed. Thanks a lot heavensdoorhalf.mp3 ( 1.91MB ) Number of downloads: 326 This post has been edited by CheeseBeard: Mar 27 2008, 09:56 PM |

You play clean enough on the clean parts, but there's some tuning issues going on. The timing is quite off though at times, makes it sound like a different song But all in all, a good attempt and i've heard far far worse. The thing i would work on first, is tuning properly, then practice some timing. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Wow clean parts sound really cool to me ..You got a very similar tone to the original there Just practice playing and most important recording with a metronome Also roll off some gain and volume on distortion parts and especially solo because it sound like its peaking..

Thanks for all the feedback . This might be a weird question but is there any way to link both reaper and guitar pro so that when I start recording audio, the guitar pro tab starts playing? I find using guitar pro helps me with timing but I've found it difficult to use whilst recording - too many buttons to press and pages to change between. Thanks again Ot could work if you use them seperatly.....First start recording then star GP and play after that -------------------- My Gear
