Today I ordered and paid for a 1991 TRANS RED GIBSON LES PAUL STUDIO LITE from a guy on Ebay who was willing to ship overseas biggrin.gif

These were only in production for ten years from 1987 - 1997, and features a Chromyte Center Block making this the lightest (maybe most comfortable..) Les Paul guitar, while still retaining traditional solid performance.
Has recieved pretty good reviews on different sites on the interweb.

This is from the Limited edition series of Studio Lites, with trans red finish and black hardware.
It features a Maple Top and a Mahogany Back, 1960's Style Slim-Tapered Neck,
and also sports an Ebony fingerboard, with full size mother-of-pearl Trapeziod inlays.

The Gibson Corporation discontinued the production of Ebony Fingerboards on its regular Les Paul Studio Series Electric Guitars for economic reasons after 1993. Today, Ebony Fingerboards can still be found on such prestigious guitars as Gibson's Legendary Les Paul Custom, the Les Paul Elegant, and the Les Paul Supreme
(One day I'm gonna have a custom, just you wait!!!!!) laugh.gif

Pickups are two exposed, 496R (neck position) and 500T (bridge position), Ceramic Humbucker Pickups.

Additional features include a Tune-O-Matic Bridge, a Stop Bar Tailpiece, individual Volume and Tone Controls
(Black Bell Speed Knobs) for each of its Humbucking Pickups, and a Three-Way Control Switch with a Black Cap.

Built in Gibsons world famous Nashville shop, one previous owner and is supposedly perfect for it's age, listed as in Excellent condition and near mint with very minor wear. Comes in a Gibson hardshell case.

It was also recently set up for "Action" and Intonation, so that's good biggrin.gif

Do you think I'm in a good mood? laugh.gif

here are some pics (better will come, and a review, when I recieve it!):

That beets the hell out of that new Epi Ultra II tongue.gif Nice man. I'm really considering a LP model. Prolly have to go with an Epi though. Considering the Ultra or the Prophecy with EMG's. How bad did it set you back?

Yeah, I'd say it does tongue.gif Thanks!
The Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Custom GX and the Epiphone Ultra II looks very good though smile.gif
I paid $950 including a new Gibson Hardshell case and shipping to Norway, not too bad for this guitar I think biggrin.gif

She's lovely man. You'll have to let us know when you get her and how well she plays. I have no doubt she'll be a dream.
