http://www.behringer.com/BCF2000/?lang=eng

I've been working on building myself a little home studio for a while now. Been thinking of adding this to my setup. The price on it is unbelieveable.

wondering what other peoples ideas on this might be. From the reviews i've read it seems like it can be hard to set up but once you get it set up it works wonders.

although another $200 is going to be hard to find since i just bought a Korg padKontrol.

There's often some questions over the quality of Behringer kit Man0mule but I have to say that personally I've never had any problem with Behringer.

I'm pretty certain that this controller has been out for a while now - I think about 3 years or so - so you may well be able to get a good discount on it. Check when the latest driver revision was and how well it's being supported by Behringer - may give an idea of if it's about to be superceded. With any controller I'd suggest that you take a look at the user forums both for the controller and the sequencer software etc you're likely to use to see if anyone's reported bugs and incompatability issues. With set up - there may well be user templates on the forums that will save you a lot of effort - well worth looking in to before you buy smile.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

I would say Behringer is usually quite good for it's price when it comes to general studioequipment, atleast the stuff i've tried.
It's their line of guitar-fx that for some reason feels, looks, and behaves cheap. In my experience that is.

I need some sort of controller for my setup, and this is tempting, although I would prefer it if it had transport controls as well ... I guess I can get a Tranzport for that though.

My friend has a behringer rack eq unit and has never had problems with it. I think behringer makes some good stuff. No idea on thier guitar effects though. Never seen them anywhere.

Reading up on this piece of equipment some more it seems the biggest problem pople are having is getting it set up properly. Although there is an editor out for it. I am primarly using Ableton Live 7 right now and from what i've read you can easily flash the firmware of the bcf2000 to the latest. This allows it to run in mackie control emulation mode.

I think i've got my mind set on this piece of equipment. Probably wont be able to afford it for another month or so though. Got allot of bills to pay.

If someone has this piece, I would really be interested how it behaves with Steinberg DAW's.
