I go and make a fishing thread in the winter smile.gif

Well it's been ice fishing season here in Labrador for a nice while now and I just thought I'd share some photos of my most recent trip. Lots of fun and it was such a great day. Caught about 10 trout. Was a bit nervous about where we decided to fish as there was some open water just off to our right, but the ice was about 3 feet thick where we were. Good thing we had the gas auger smile.gif

Child labour can be a good thing when holes need to be made laugh.gif Besides there was hot chocolate to be drank.

Attached Image Attached Image

Some of the boys decided to skip water with their sleds....don't ask... while I was busy catching the huge fish smile.gif

After a long day of fishing there is nothing better then the boil up.

Thanks Smells.

Yeah it was a blast getting out on the bay that's for sure. We found some fresh powder on the way out and well lets just say I did many donuts and was stuck once or twice smile.gif This is only me second year with my 600 H.O. but she's awesome...very very fast. Where we were fishing is about 40 mins from my house. In the summer the only way to get there is by boat.

Mmmm lovely pictures rok.
There is nothing better than being in the sun in the early spring out on the ice, with hot chocolate and cheese sandwiches (and a few kids for drilling holes) biggrin.gif
Reminds me of home. Mmmm...
Oh wait! I AM home. With 2 feet of snow and the sun is shining biggrin.gif
