Hey, Hello!!
I'm curious... today I´ve been talking with a workmate about Motley Crüe, and he didn't stop saying that they are so bad. In fact, he said that it is a MTV band, and the musicians aren't good.
In my opinion Motley Crüe know how to rock, and I like a lot of their songs, specially the ones in Girls, Girls, Girls and Dr. Feelgood album's.
Well, I wanted to know what's your opinion about that band...

Motley Crüe is awesome. They aren't the most technical band but they play good music nonetheless. The are the epitome of an 80s hard rock band.

May not be the best musicians, definitely not the best band, but still I like them. Dr. Feelgood is a great album and well I grew up listening to those guys. So glam... ya gotta love the 80's.

I kinda see glam as the emo of the 80s. I'll admit though I kinda like Shout at the Devil and Too Young to Fall in Love

Oooh I love them. Nowadays. One of the best in that style.
I didn't like them in the 80-ies but I didn't like any hard rock band from the 80-ies then. They were all a disgrace to the hard rock genre tongue.gif (Well, that's what I thought at that time).

When it comes to a band I don't care if the musicians are good or not. What's interesting with a band is what they produce together.

Motley Crue is one of my all time favorites, and yeah maybe they are not the greatest musicians in the world, but unlike many bands from that era, they have a very distinctive sound. Mick Mars is not a very technical player, but he's got a great bluesy style of playing and his use of slide guitar added another dimension to their sound that you didn't hear in other bands.

+1

That is exactly my thoughts lol. I love those 2 songs but the others are a bit too cheesy for me and glam definitely was the emo of the 80's although I don't think it was as bad as emo. I love Ratt biggrin.gif

It's a good 80's band, still good but not great. All great characters though, teriffic reading back then, and Mick is a fighter.
