Okay...

So I'm perusing around on www.musiciansfriend.com...and I'm looking for my ever elusive guitar that I've REALLY always wanted. Don't get me wrong, my Ibanez GRGR170DX is a FANTASTIC guitar, but I feel as if I'm being "held back"...I dunno, it's weird...I probably just haven't played enough guitars to know any REAL difference...

But this guitar seems to be gone, or something, so I was wondering if you GMCers have seen it or something like it, and if it's for sale somewhere...The guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul (Standard, Studio, or Custom I'm not sure)...but it was exclusively made in the alpine white finish, and had a black Floyd Rose tremolo system on it...I think it went between $400-$550 or so, but not completely sure. It used to be offered on Musician's Friend, but now I can't seem to find it...

Anyone know which guitar I'm talking about or where to find it? I'd love to feed that through a Marshall half-stack and slap some Burstbuckers on it...omg I think I would die of a heart attack made by sheer awesome......smile.gif

Dang! I didn't know they made guitars up to 25 frets! You could probably shatter glass just by hitting a note that high. laugh.gif

If anyone can find me a seven string semi hollow body guitar at a reasonable price I would be gracious. Preferably with p-90s or some kind of single coil. I've searched and I can't find anything.

Cool...7-string guitar. I think Musician's Friend have some of those.

I remember seeing that. It was like $900 at Musicians Friend. I loved that thing....a Les Paul with a Floyd..that was so....wrong. Awesome. Out of my price range though.

I do have a success story for a hard to find discontinued guitar though.

I was looking for a semi hollow ESP Eclipse a while back. They only made em a couple uyears in the mid 90's from what I can tell. You don't see many of them...not really old enough or interesting enough to be collectible.

I searched Craigslist and Ebay for them for a long time. I found out that they do pop up every once in a while. I snagged mine in Noember. I've seen two others since then on ebay. But they do pop up. Really, that's going to be your main chance.

This is used though, but a Schecter 7-jazz should do the trick wink.gif

Beautiful smile.gif I ran across a website dedicated to seven strings that mentioned the 7-jazz but I couldn't find it anywhere. What a cool guitar.

Yeah, All I know is MF has 7-strings. Plus, I'm not sure about the Epiphone LP anymore...I mean, it's a nice guitar and all...but all the ones I've heard so far sound too "trebley" for me...there's not enough grunge in the notes, like in my Ibanez, and I'm feeding through a Crate GX-15 (POS amp), but it cranks some good distortion when the gain's maxed.

Maybe the players I've heard EQ's suck, or a pickup change could remedy, or amp settings...I dunno, can anyone help me with that?

As far as I'm aware, all the seven stringers on MF are solid bodies. I'd rather have a hollow. Cooler biggrin.gif
