Try setting your strap to a level where it is in the same place on your body whether you are standing up or sitting down. That's what I did and it makes playing standing up a lot easier.

I think it looks pretty cool to have it very down, but to be fair I cannot play well if it is lower than my stomach...

Around belt area. Half of the guitar is in front of my lower stomach and the second half in front of my groin.

I just recently-ish rose my guitar. I think it looks cool, that is after i've been watching so many videos with players like Chris Broderick and Chuck Schuldiner who have theirs high. So id say maybe around my stomach area.

My V though is about my waist maybe lower but I think the neck angle makes up for it.
