well i just bought guitar rig 3 and it sounds amazing, just the presets alone already sound better than the line6 stuff i was using. but now that i have it i was wondering if anyone else has it and can give me some tips on getting some good custom tones. i dont know if this has already been adressed in other threads so if it has, a link would be great. thanks!

I have GR3 and Gearbox - I like them both although I use Gearbox mostly because I also have a Pod. Must get into GR3 a little more!

That software rules big time, I use it myself and love it. My personal fave in that one is that Bogner Uberschall amp, Guitar Rig calls it Supersonic, awesome tone, I use that one for all my distorted sounds.

I loved that solo sound you shared, do you use that for rythm as well?
