Finland barely won that one....This world cup is full of surprises

Canada beat Norway with only 2-1 and Slovakia didnt make it to the next round

Well tonight Sweden is playing against Russia who barely won over Belarus yesterday it should be a good game tonight

Yeah, Masalskis was like a brick wall on that game, think, first period 36 shots on goal and he didn't let one in!

Now I'm really getting in the spirit! Just have to watch that sweden - Russia! And tomorrow Finland - USA. cool.gif

Finland - Usa.... Now that was a game! I'm sure Finlands first goal is gonna get some conversation going....(if you didn't see it, it went to the goal THROUGH the net)

Next Canada - Finland, and that's gonna be worth seeing, I'm telling you.

That's so very true, in the matter of fact I think those referies made some other bad decisions in that game too, actually a lot of them.

But the ref did check on something during that goal, he was on the phone for a little while wasn't he? but if he would have been checking the goal, well... nobodys that blind... right?

Last night's Finland - USA match was a referee fiasco. Despite Koistinen's "through the net" -goal I think Finland deserved the victory, USA really didn't play that well. And one of the players turned out to be childish piece of .................. with his after-match tackling.

It's only a game but I'm so pissed with those incompetent referees and IIHF for letting those fools on the ice. I'm pissed because Olli Jokinen and Anssi Salmela can't play tonight against Canada.

mad.gif

Well, eagerly waiting for tonight's game. wink.gif

I just checked, there was 202 minutes of penalties in that game. 202 minutes!!!!

I hear they suspended the video referee who checked that Koistinen's goal on Finland - USA., so Superize, I couldn't believe it either, but he WAS checking that goal!

Canada beats Finland 6-3, but somehow "unsettling" game to me... Canada's goals seemed so easy as Finland had to struggle even when they had a lot more shots on the goal than Canada, and a lot of those shots weren't bad either... just not good enough I guess, got to hand it Leclaire.

If you give Canada the finger they will take the hand........

They are very effective when it comes to goalscoring

It's hard to stop a team like Canada who is filled with NHLer's. Not to mention it's nearly impossible to stop the big line of Heatley, Nash, and Getzlaf. They're all over 6' 200lbs. They have tons of skill as well.

Our record against Finland is not that great actually. It's pretty evenly matched and for the most part Finland give us a run for our money. But Canada is firing on all cylinders this year and as TwistedSun said that top line is hard to get past..... Heatly, again nice of you to start playing again, a couple weeks too late but whatever.... anyways Canada was very relaxed and just took excellent advantage of scoring chances, Doan's goal in the first period was sooooo nice smile.gif
