Don't learn only from videos and tabs. Try to find chord progressions and simple melodies with your ear as well.

Always relying on tabs to learn will only hold you back.

Practicing you ear is as important as everything else. We're in the music business and sticking to tabs only can really create a bad habit of not actually listening to music.
