Another New Guy

May 2 2008, 09:54 PM	GMC:er Posts: 5 Joined: 2-May 08 From: Ontario, Canada	Hey GMC Im a 23 y/o student from Ontario, Canada. I taught myself to play guitar starting when I was in high school and now am ready to start taking it a little more seriously. I've always played acoustic and shyed away from electric because I could never really play a lick without it sounding like complete crap. Ive decided to start focusing on lead guitar and soloing by using my time off this summer to learn both theory and technique. So far what I have seen on this site is amazing and Im going through all the beginner speedpicking and scale lessons. I seem to be making some pretty good progress but it still feels awkward holding the pick on an angle to speedpick. If anyone has any advice about right hand technique with speedpicking Id be happy to hear it. Looking forward to learning here.
