(GMC being a rare exception) a total shame everyone bashes on MattRach. for a 17 year old, he is really good! you CANNOT deny that... i'm 18, and he's gotta be atleast twenty times more proficent then i am. Yes hes good. But I feel as if hes "absorbs" all the fan base that are missing out on guitarists that are just as good, if not better then him. Such as Chris Feener. I think the real reason he has lots of fans is because he has the "it" factor. Creative Video Editing, Simple yet mezmorizing compostions, and he "looks" like a potential star. And these days, popularity has as much if not even more to do with making it in the music buisness than being a "guitar god", it's like the guys running the competition said, these days where there are so many aspiring musicians all over youtube and myspace you have to know how to promote yourself. And I'm sure that if one of you'r friends was entering the competition, you would also vote for him regardless of his skills, and that's the deal with mattrach and his fans, in their opinions his a great musician, and they give him their vote, it's their right. Fianlly, asking what all the hype is will be the same as asking what's all the hype today about the crappy hip hop of guys singing about woman and crime.
