If you like metal, then you cant go wrong with a Jackson. Try out a SLSMG if you get the chance, it packs a punch and handles great. + it wont cost you an arm.
I like Ibanezes alot though, i have an RG and i think it's a very versatile guitar. But i'm not a JEM fan.. i think they are seriously overpriced and there's a huge hole in them! If you need something for heavy playing, I suggest you check out those GIbsons and possible Jacksons too if you can find a good piece. Trond has a nice model with great pickups, so if you find something similar in the stores around you that would be great. With good ol' Gibson on the other hand - you really can't go wrong

I just called the Ibanez distributors in the U.K. here the Egen will not be out until late summer and will have a whopping price tag of £1,800 ($3,500)  That is so much money! |
