My friend josh sent me this backing piece that he did, titled "awesome" because it was his first time recording something (remember that guys? biggrin.gif) so I added some guitar to it and we decided to work on it. This is the first half or third or so of what he sent me, but the rest of it is really dissonant so it's going to be hard to work on. But tell me what you think so far, does it sound too much like i'm just noodling?

Its actually going to get kind of funky in the rest of it tongue.gif The thing he sent me is fairly long and drifting so I'm going to attempt to put some direction to it tongue.gif

Great intro... I need some of this in my songs... and after like 1 minute I scream "Do you listen to me?????!" with a certain J. Hetfield attitude... smile.gif

Ah biggrin.gif Well, I'll talk to him about that. Or maybe I can add it in myself. The piece he sent me doesn't actually have any drums, at most it goes to the ticking you hear.

I think it will be little bit boring if it's going to be until the end.
Anyway that's my opinion  smile.gif

Or you may also be able to do some great stuff to overcome that without having the drums smile.gif

It actually goes away pretty soon after it kicks in, just one of those things he threw in because it was the first thing he recorded and he thought it sounded cool tongue.gif

Liked it man! I can definitely here some funky drum pattern coming in, maybe a bongo roll to get things started? That would sound cool imo.

I really love your "bluesy" guitar playing on that piece JVM! smile.gif
