It was just a trailor for a new site coming up that will open (today??) to follow up to the release of the new album (with videos interviews etc)

Sadly not much audio was given away on the preview- 2 or 3 seconds of a verse and about a bar of a Kirk solo (sounded cliché Kirk to me)

Ahh well- im not getting my hopes up on this album. Id love it if they suprised me tho wink.gif

I think some of the riffs you can hear are quite good, but the lyrics are somewhat lame...

The site they are advertising for is Misson Metallica

Haven't got the preview yet, but the music they are playing in the video sounds great, especially compared to St. Anger!

cliché Kirk? Maybe that's the reason I liked it tongue.gif

I can remember when Load came out everyone was saying the same things as people say now for St. Anger. I did like Load a lot, but the threshold was set too high by the previous albums...
Now people don't talk a lot about Load. I just hope they don't give something for us to stop blaming St. Anger. rolleyes.gif

For the sake of liking their old stuff- i want to disagree with you. Sadly, in reality, i do agree with that ^^

i like their old stuff too, i just don't see how they can pull this off. they need to do something new, or else they will end up sounding cliche like this, but it seems whenever they try to make a stylistic change, it ends up being horrible. its a catch 22.

well from the little clips of music it sounds a whole lot better than st. anger. but one thing i noticed is that the band really looks happy and is getting a long and playing around which is completley opposite of how they were when they were making st. anger. in the some kind of monster documentary they were always fighting and frustrated with eachother and were constantly having to meet with their band counsler. from what i've seen of just them being a band i have high hopes that they'll put something good together.

meh, out of all the thrash reunions and new great bands coming up recently, Metallica is the last band I would like to hear. Especially since the fact that what I heard from this video is nothing exciting nor memorable at all.

How about a new Heathen album for a change!

that whole thing was just a stunt they used to further their "angry tough guy" image. music, metal in particular, has moved on, and theres no room for metallica anymore.
