I don't know if anyone has noticed, because I haven't checked the forum in a while but "Guitar Idol 2008 Muris" didn't pop up in a search, so I needed to let you all know MURIS VARAJIC IS IN THE RUNNING FOR GUITAR IDOL 2008! He's got my vote, so if we get everyone to sign up and vote for him, we could have the Guitar Idol of 2008 as an instructor.

Cast your votes here
http://gtridol.com/entries/top_rated
this is a page of the leaderboard, and there is a register button on the right, after you've logged in, go to the homepage, go down to vote now, and then click on muris, on the last page midway down, then click the vote button (and while you're at it, watch his entry "Junk Medley" and be BLOWN OUT OF YOUR MIND! I AM SO IN SHOCK! ITS FREAKIN AMAZING!

VOTE NOW!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

There's a lot of topics about it ^^
He need more votes though.. We're 5000+ members here, and if everyone votes, Muris and/or David will win ^^
David AND Muris as one of the ten finalists would be awesome!

There will now be 12 guitarist in the final instead of 10, and deadline is 24th of may if i remember correctly. Its gonna be either Mattrach or Guerra taking the first price so votes wont really make that much of a difference by now.

If Muris can't get the 1st place, I'd rather want Mattrach then Guerra.
Ah well. Muris and David is in the judges hands now =)

I was a bit surprised as well thought more would vote, however i think that out of the 5000 members only a handfull is participating actively in the forum.

It's a shame he's not in the top 10 cos his entry was better than anything else i saw. And it covered about 3 styles. smile.gif I did read about a panel thing which means Muris and David might go through cos it won't just be people voting for people theyve seen on youtube a lot, theyll be voting on the skill which david and muris definitely have a lot of.

I really don't get how matt rach has got almost 4000 votes. His entry is nowhere near as good as muris' or david's.

Votes don't really matter, thank god an expert panel selects 11 out of the 12 finalists instead of regular people. With the panel, I am 99% sure Muris and David will go through.

Does that mean Muris and David have to be in the top twelve?

No, a panel of judges reviews all the entries and the ones they select go to the finals. The top 12 is just there to give an idea of who everyones favorite is, and the #1 person goes to the finals, but that is it, the rest is decided by judges.

By the way, I just want everyone who can to watch the video by "Moles", it is terrible, not only picture quality and sound quality, but there is no way he should be in front of Muris, hes got 700ish votes and he doesn't deserve it... just watch the video!

Went over to the Guitar Idol website and voted for Muris. I think everyone at GMC knows who is the best player, no matter how that vote turns out. The cool thing was finding Muris' website at MurisVarajic.com. I listened to the samples from "Let it Out" and instantly fell in love with it. Can fame be far away for this amazing player?
