When i bought my Parker NItefly (love it!!) it had a joe barden two tone in the bridge.
Its a good sounding pickup... but its to weak and laid back...
i want something more agressive thats not muddy and catch all note with out making it blurry.
so these are the pickups iam looking at for now

Dimarzio Evolution
Dimarzio Tonezone
Swineheads pickups Venom ( that thing looks good, and its cheap)

i am playing mostly jazz fusion and metal (mostly progressive) and alot of instrumental.

Ps.. sorry for spelling

Evolution is made of ceramic, so it's a little bit more aggressive, more presence and highs, a good pickup for solo!
Tone zone is made of alnico, it's still aggressive, but he have more low-end and highs a little bit rolled off. It's more fat!
I can suggest you a Steve's special, very clear distortion, with middles a little bit back, it's good for soloing and rhythms, think to Petrucci. Bye. wink.gif

I would recommend the EMG 81, an absolut metal monster, not muddy AT ALL, very clear and precise.
