Mostly 81 in the bridge but I love the warm tones that the 85 produces in the neck as well. Harmonics are'nt there but I like it better for some heavy bassy riffage smile.gif

I generally stick to the bridge of my les paul, it just produces a perfect sound for any application. Riffing, soloing, clean, heavy, whatever. Ever tried to find that perfect tone before? I found it in the bridge of my les paul, at least for most things. The neck has a nice trebly sound. I imagine I'll use the neck a lot more when I get my strat, and when I fix my telecaster. But for now I'm mostly using the bridge. I don't stick to one pickup though, every one has its advantages and disadvantages.

I almost always use the neck pickup, especially for cleans. It just sounds so much warmer and smoother, and just more expressive in general. I almost never use the bridge for cleans, but I use it with distortion for the more high-gain stuff. This is just in general, though.

I use the "in-between" settings a lot. For example, I have a 5-way switch on my Schecter, and my favorite clean/light gain sound is in the position between the neck and middle. I'm not sure if it actually has a coil-tap, but it sounds very single-coilesque. laugh.gif

I'd like to say that whenever I use a three single coil style guitar (like a strat or a parker nitefly sa) my favorite position is neck-middle. It's the quietest one, but it sounds amazing. Smooth, clear, fat. But with some spank too. I love it.

I'd say that it depend on wich pickup is on the neck, and wich one on the bridge. anyway I often use the bridge one
Is there any difference, I mean if I'm using the same pickups on bridge and neck, can we hear a difference ?
