Ey,

been crazy busy at work but now I finally have some vacation so I can pick up the guitar and sing again.
This is a song me and a friend been working on the last two days. The groove of the song is maybe
Disturbed meets Metallica in the alley where Sully Urny is rincing carrots.

Guitar: Drop C and still my DF-7 (preset 5)
Bass: Ampeg SVX
Drums: AD
Vocals: Me using a Studio Project B1

The new song (lyrics further down) : [attachment=7913:Antipoli...__mix_2_.mp3]

I tried to put some more effort in programming the drum parts and I think it's pretty good now.
Wrote the lyrics today and did it pretty fast again while standing in front of the mic (arggh)
Still I think the lyrics isn't as bad as I use to write. Hope you like it!

Lyrics:

Early in the morning sun burning my eyes
will you take care of me when the world dies
Daylight fades away
No way out
Is this the way
it's gonna be?

Now you will see
inside of me
Now you will feel
pain
Now you will know
who you wanna be
Now you will face
reality

Another day with insanity
Can you help me with my mind
My last call to humanity
Oh, Please help me

Oh no, he's coming for you

Feel the pain punish you for all your lies
wherever you look they fly under the skies
Fatigue setting in
No way out
This is the way
you gonna die!

Now you will see
inside of me
Now you will feel
pain
Now you will know
who you wanna be
Now you will face
reality

Another day with insanity
Oh, Please help me
My last call to humanity
Can you help me with my mind

Hey man, I really like this song a lot. Vocals sound cool, I hear a little hetfield in there. Riffs are nice and sludgey just the way I like them.
The mixing is good, I like the little stereo effect you do in the beginning of the song when the other channel kicks in. I'm going to have to remember to do that with some of my recordings.

I listened to the song several times - really liked it man! Keep 'em coming!

Oh thanks all of you! Great to hear.

Actually, I notice many people have some trouble with mixing and stuff like that. I'm thinking of making a guide when I make a song from scratch, with pictures and text during the process of the song. I think that could help lots of people.

Anyway, I'm in rush, gonna eat some food with my girlfriend but I managed to record some new simple faster riffs and
shouted some lyrics to that... it sounds a bit Godsmack in the vocal parts, the guitars i don't know. I just played something very easy... but it's an early version. Here it is:

[attachment=7913:Antipoli...__mix_2_.mp3]

Lyrics ...

Like a man I stand
guess you didn't wanna piece of me?
burn in hell you're not a friend
take your s*** away yeah

Did I say come here
or do you just f*** around with me?
f*** off please you're not a friend
listen carefully leave me alone

come on...

Away from me, get away from me

Do you know, how it goes?
what goes around it comes around!
so go away you're not my friend
just leave me alone aooow

Oh did I hear, you talking back?
better be my ear playing tricks on me
s*** up, you sound ridicilous
pull the trigger save yourself

come on...

Away from me, get away from me

This is awesome work man ! I really dig the song! You should definitely write a guide on making and mixing songs..

I wish I could get that good of a quality sound out of my BR1600. I must be mixing down too loud. Your music sounds good and clear.

--------------------
My gear includes:
An acoustic Alvarez RD20CU
An electric Ibanez GR10
An electric Yamaha-on loan to my younger brother
Another electric Ibanez-I don't play it much
And an electric Kramer-in pieces awaiting another paint job (this is year 7 I believe)
Peavey Renown 212

And some various pedals as well as a BOSS BR1600 studio.

The thing is, I'm a rookie when it comes to guitar playing, singing and mixing but I have actually started on that guide. I figured I'll learn something myself while doing it. I'll try to finish it this weekend and hopefully you'll learn something reading it. Later guys.
