I figured i should get this back up. Post all of your recordings in here
a little while ago, i recorded this when i was working really hard on my improvisation techniques/creativity it's Knocking on Heavens Door by GnR, only completly redone with drawn out solos so check it out... i only did this in about 10 min...one take...one track, i usually EQ everything and whatnot, but i didn't think this was as good as it was until i listened to it again probably one of my best recorded tones as well http://media.putfile.com/GnR-Improv |

Do you reckon you could go over your set up for recording? Mine is primitive enough so that i get a muffled sound with quite a bit of feedback, unfortunately.

yeah sure man, my recording setup is terrible though
i don't even have a real mic, i use this plugged straight into my soundcard http://store.yahoo.com/justdeals/lva7504regw.html i record everything straight through CEP 2.1 where i usually tweak my sound from there. my guitar setup consists of my Ibanez RG1570 (with a Tone Zone bridge PU)------> Marshall DSL 401 combo overall its pretty far from professional, but i can get pretty decent recordings out of pretty low end recording equipment, so i'm not complaining |

Ok, so I decided to give this recording lark a go.
My equipment is really shoddy for this kind of thing, essentially im just plugging into the 'line in' on my computer from a 4-track audio-out designed for headphones. On top of that, my soundcard is in-built. Still, it came out a little better than i expected for my first go at recording. I did something simple, since i thought it'd be better to try and get something that sounds nice first than trying to do my best solo. GnR - don't cry. The timing is a little off but i only did the one run, so you'll forgive me. It was more about the tone anyways. EDIT: I changed it a bit: http://download.yousendit.com/467FAF774CCF9F59 |

Homade backing and improv.
I think my timing is a little off. If it is let me know. Bad sound quality by the way. http://beta.yousendit.com/transfer.php?act...50BE0DC0BE73AEC |

Very nice SS. Your tone is sweet.
Here's a recording of my band (well mostly me recording the guitars, programing the drums and pitch shifting the bass, along with my singer singing the parts). We're planning on sending out some demos to bars around town this summer. Give any thoughts or comments. Cheers. http://media.putfile.com/Take-a-Slice http://beta.yousendit.com/transfer.php?act...F2BF33D5A22A9FB |

My singer wrote the lyrics and vocal melodies, but I wrote and arranged all the music. And yep, I recorded and mixed it all.

Awesome - original stuff, I like it a lot. You created a cool soundscape with the backing vocal reverbs, orchestral hits and bass brought up to front. Well done!
