lol at Kirk... Celine Dion is a fantastic performer, though she is leaps and bounds away from what I would normally listen to. In my opinion Atreyu's cover of you give love a bad name by Bon Jovi was much much worse tongue.gif

I am pretty confident that my appreciation of Celine would increase significantly were I to have a frontal lobotomy.

I think the comments are way over the line. Such a disrespect of a singing diva is blasphemy. I mean "stick to sinking ships" ?? What's up with that?? She sings perfect and one of the biggest pop starts, certainly in Canada and Americas. Frankly this is good cover, maybe not her style but she can certainly do it.

Hehe, actually that was the part I liked best smile.gif
Sorry but I have to disagree with you.
She was alright for doing love ballads (Titanic, sinking ships) but she is waaay overdue. After hearing her sing song after song the same way, without variation, she gets kinda boooooring. Especially since she was quite boring right from the start. Except for her voice she is nothing special. I rather see people with some personality in their singing or playing. That kind of stars went asleep with Witney Houston and should never have rised from the 80-ies.

To me this was disrespect to a great band and a whole genre, afaic. It's not OK for a star to do that.

It's not an insult what we said, atleast I didn't intend it to be that way. But if you get someone used to a style, you can't just change it the way you want.

Can you imagine Blind Guardian playing jazz?
Would you like to see Moonspell doing a pop cover song?

It's just not how we like them and imagine...

One of the worst covers is Behind Blue Eyes by Limp Bizkit! mad.gif

They play it all the time in the radio, and it really pisses me off.
The original had more bite. Does people not know what they're missing? unsure.gif

QUOTE ("Steve Vai")
Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

The Celine Dion version of You Shook Me is AWESOME!!! Haha, I loved it......Anastacia sung it really well too!!! I personally think its refreshing to see people you wouldnt associate with rock having a stab at it, the Angus Chicken Walk was a touch of genius smile.gif

ROCK ON CELINE!!!

p.s. the guitar solo sucked huge amounts of ass!! I have heard 13 year olds in pubs and clubs do better solo's to that song than he did!!

Snoop wins for worst cover.

Celine's cover was not that bad, but she is a TERRIBLE air guitarist.

In my opinion these covers just go to show you about important attitude is when it comes to Rock and Metal.
Celine is a good singer (even though I can't stand her music) but her rocking out is so insincere that it's just painful to look at.

I wish there was some kind of rock super hero.
Every time someone is doing a horrible cover he would burst through the door and destroy them with a face melting solo

I only watched for a second. Sort of like touching a burner on a stove, you pull out, it is painful, and you don't want any more.

I will agree in the Mindless tsetse fly Genre of music, she is cream of the crop.

edit: Would make a good singer for the Trons, would get along well I think with them.
